Misti & Colin of Bohemia Wedding Travel, a local destination wedding travel company, have been helping us with all the booking details. They have worked to secure a group rate and will be helping all of our guests book their travel accommodations for our wedding on Thursday October 15th, 2026 at Villa La Joya Estate.

AVA Resort Cancun
Our Resort Stay:
Newly built and recently opened AVA Resort Cancun is an expansive all-inclusive universe 14 minutes from the Cancun Airport. It offers 1,600 ocean-facing rooms, 20+ restaurants and bars—helmed by award-winning chefs and mixologists—a world-class, 22,000-square foot spa & wellness center, a state-of-the-art fitness center, pickleball courts, a custom-designed waterpark, AVA Kid's Club and Teen Lounge AVA's own 120,000 square-foot saltwater bay, six swimming pools, and entertainment, along with a robust suite of events and programming for all ages.
Our Wedding Day:
Our ceremony will be held at the Catholic Church Parroquia San José Obrero located in Puerto Morelos.
The reception will be held at Villa La Joya, a beautiful, private, seaside estate near our ceremony.
Private Shuttle Transportation will be provided to and from our resort and wedding venues.

To be considered a part of Frances and Sheldon’s Wedding Group, you must book through this group room block and not through any other method (even directly with the hotel). If you book outside of this room block your room will be charged $302 per person to attend the welcome event.
If the room you want has sold out, or if you would like to modify the length of your stay or upgrade your room to any category of the hotel please contact hello@bohemiaweddingtravel.com for pricing and availability.
Specific building locations, adjacent rooms or room numbers are not guaranteed but may be requested at check-in.
Rooms are required to have at least one Adult 18+.
Child and teen rate are based on age at time of check-in.
August 12th, 2026 is the final date to reassign rooms to a different name or adjust the dates reserved.
After you book, modifications to your room category are possible but the process with the resort can take weeks. It is recommended that you select your room category with accuracy.

You will fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN)
Ground transportation costs to AVA Resort Cancun and back to the airport are not included with your reservation. You have the choice to select any ground transportation method you like.
For Frances and Sheldon we have secured group transfer and tour rates from the Cancun airport with Lomas Travel.
All flight information or changes in schedule must be made with your chosen ground transportation company. Bohemia Wedding Travel does not have access to make any emergency changes or updates.

TRIP DEPOSIT + PAYMENT SCHEDULE
A non-refundable payment of $300 is all you need to reserve your room right now.
June 15th, 2026 $300 deposit due to reserve a room.
June 20th, 2026 60% of your total room block is due.
July 20th, 2026 Remaining balance due.
Making Multiple Payments:
After you pay the deposit to reserve your room, you will receive an invoice to your email. Click ‘reply’, and scroll down to invoice link. On your invoice page you will be able to make custom payment amounts until the remaining balance due date with the same or different credit cards. Each time you make a custom payment, it will auto-deduct from your remaining balance.
Zero Credit Card Fees

TRAVEL PROTECTION
FYI, not purchasing travel protection could result in the loss of your travel cost and/or require more money to correct the situation. Without protection, there may be no way to recoup any losses, costs, or expenses incurred and the price of Travel Protection IS NOT included in the price of the room selections and is non-refundable once purchased.
Having travel protection is important and recommended for everyone. The option to purchase travel insurance is solely up to you and you may purchase it through any insurance company you would like.
This website (Travel Insured) offers a very comprehensive policy called the “Worldwide Trip Protector” plan with optional add-ons like CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason), and other add-on options.
**If you have any questions about insurance please give Travel Insured a call at 800-243-3174. We (Bohemia Wedding Travel) are not a licensed insurance company and can not legally answer any insurance-related questions.**
PLEASE READ
If you cancel your reservation before June 20th, 2026 you are only responsible for the non-refundable $300 per room booking fee already paid as the deposit when you reserved your room. You can reduce the number of nights in your reservation up to this date (maintaining the 3 night minimum).
Between June 20th, 2026 and July 20th, 2026 any cancelled room nights will be charged at 50%.
If you cancel your reservation, no-show, or reduce the number of nights or travelers in your reservation after July 20th, 2026 you are responsible for 100% of your original room total.
A 3 night minimum is required.
If you have travel insurance you can file a claim for refunds based on their terms.
AVA Resort Cancun will not provide a credit or voucher for future travel if you arrive after your scheduled arrival date, if you check out early, or do not travel on the dates selected for this reservation for any reason.
Bohemia Wedding Travel is not an agent of AVA Resort Cancun and has no governance of refund policies and other rules mandated by AVA Resort Cancun.

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT
Resorts in Mexico are not in compliance with the U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The venue has a limited number of accessible guest rooms that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We can request an accessible room for you but it’s availability cannot be guaranteed.
Also, public areas at the venue are wheelchair accessible, but not always wheelchair friendly. If you need to rent a wheelchair, scooter, or oxygen tank you can do so through Playa Mobility. Click here to visit their website.
