Misti & Colin of Bohemia Wedding Travel, a local destination wedding travel company, have been helping us with all the booking details. They have worked to secure a group rate and will be helping all of our guests book their travel accommodations for our wedding on Saturday November 29th, 2025.

Our Resort Stay:

Newly built and recently opened AVA Resort Cancun is an expansive all-inclusive universe 14 minutes from the Cancun Airport. Ready To Reserve?

  1. To be considered a part of Ruba and Hamza’s Wedding Group, you must book through this group room block and not through any other method (even directly with the hotel). We offer low contracted group rates that have been secured by Claire and Kyle with a deposit already paid on each room. If you book outside of this group the resort will charge a wedding pass fee per person per wedding event to your room.

  2. To participate in all of the wedding-related activities, you must stay at AVA Resort Cancun as part of the wedding group.

  3. If the room you want has sold out, or if you would like to upgrade your room, please contact hello@bohemiaweddingtravel.com for pricing and availability.

  4. Specific buildings, adjacent rooms or room numbers are not guaranteed but may be requested at check-in.

  5. AVA Resort Cancun, like most resorts, does not guarantee bed sizes, they are upon request only. The earlier you book, the more likely you are to get your requested bed type.

  6. Maximum 2 free children per room ages 0 - 3.

  7. Child and teen prices are based on age at time of check-in.

TRIP DEPOSIT + PAYMENT SCHEDULE


60% of your total is due to reserve your room.

  • August 18th, 2024 Last date to reserve your room with payment of 60%

  • September 17th, 2025 Remaining balance due.

Making Multiple Payments:

After you pay the 60% to reserve your room, you will receive an invoice to your email. Click ‘view invoice’. On your invoice page you will be able to make custom payment amounts until the remaining balance due date with the same or different credit cards. Each time you make a custom payment, it will auto-deduct from your remaining balance.

Select flight times and purchase flights on your own terms.

  • You will fly to the Cancun International Airport (CUN).

  • We do need your flight info by September 26th, ‎2025 to provide the ground transportation company your arrival and departure times. You can send that to us by filling out the form on this page.

  • We’ve found that wedding guests overwhelmingly prefer to handle their own flights. (Especially considering the use use and accumulation of airline miles.)

  • You can also book your own ground transportation to Garza Blanca Cancun and back to the airport if you wish.

PLEASE READ

  • Before September 17th, 2024, you may reduce up to 20% of the booked room nights without penalty. Any room nights cancelled beyond the allowed 20% will be charged 50% or the room nights cancelled.

  • If you cancel your reservation or no-show after September 17th, 2024, you are responsible for 100% of your room total.

  • If you have travel insurance you can file a claim to get a refund based on the insurance providers terms.

AVA Resort Cancu will not provide a credit or voucher for future travel if you arrive after your scheduled arrival date, if you check out early, or do not travel on the dates selected for this reservation for any reason.

Bohemia Wedding Travel is not an agent of AVA Resort Cancun and has no governance of their refund policies and other mandates.

cANCELLATION POLICY

TRAVEL PROTECTION

FYI, not purchasing travel protection could result in the loss of your travel cost and/or require more money to correct the situation. Without protection, there may be no way to recoup any losses, costs, or expenses incurred and the price of Travel Protection IS NOT included in the price of the room selections and is non-refundable once purchased.

  • Having travel protection is important and recommended for everyone. The option to purchase travel insurance is solely up to you and you may purchase it through any insurance company you would like.

  • This website (Travel Insured) offers a very comprehensive policy called the “Worldwide Trip Protector” plan with optional add-ons like CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason), and other add-on options.

  • **If you have any questions about insurance please give Travel Insured a call at 800-243-3174. We (Bohemia Wedding Travel) are not a licensed insurance company and can not legally answer any insurance-related questions.**

ROUNDTRIP AIRPORT

TRANSPORTATION

Ground transportation costs to the resort and back to the airport is not included with your room reservation cost, but can be reserved for you on the booking form if you wish.

For Ruba and Hamza’s wedding, we have secured direct, non-stop transfers with Mayaland at $50 per person, round trip.

We highly! recommend that you select to include ground transportation when placing your room deposit so that you won’t forget about this later and possibly become stranded at the airport with only expensive options. Ride share services like Uber are not viable in the Riviera Maya

You will fly into the Cancun International Airport (CUN) where the transportation company will pick you up.

Once your flights are booked, please fill out our flight form HERE, so we can get the correct info to Mayaland, so they are ready and waiting for you at the correct times.

If you’d like to add this service to your booking, please do so on the group booking page.

Any updates to your flight info or any needed changes to the transfers must be updated directly with us at hello@bohemiaweddingtravel.com. But for emergencies, please reach out to Mayaland directly at 1 (877) 240 5864 or info@airportconciergeservice.com. Bohemia Wedding Travel does not have access to make any emergency changes or updates.

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT

Resorts in Mexico are not in compliance with the U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The venue has a limited number of accessible guest rooms that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We can request an accessible room for you but it’s availability cannot be guaranteed.

Also, public areas at the venue are wheelchair accessible, but not always wheelchair friendly. If you need to rent a wheelchair, scooter, or oxygen tank you can do so through Playa Mobility. Click here to visit their website.
